IoRicreo: Art of creative recycle

In 2007, in Genova, was born IoRicreo community that join together dedication on recycle and artistic creativity. The website collects short-guides made of photos and descriptions explaining the steps in order to create the final artistic-object.

IoRicreo claims one of the fundamental principle of the communities based on reuse and recycle: the object value in based on the use, on utility. Creativity and fantasy, in IoRicreo community, give new life to waste, recreate the use conditions that give value to the object.

We would like to share the idea that you can call a bench a floorboard on top of two fruit-boxes, you can use anything without following the instruction label, without any label. We would like to say that things, stuff, items firstly have an use-value and then a market value. We would like to share an idea of consume bound up with reuse, we would like to tell poetry, to share travel anecdotes concerning different life-style than the consumerist one. We are saying that the ecology is made by society, is a point of view upon reality and we want to share ours in order to improve, to learn and grow all together.

Carpooling, an organized Hitchhiking

When I was a student in highschool, I spend endless minutes waiting for the bus. In those moments I use to think about the empty car (driver only) that ran in front of me. My main fantasy was to receive a lift to school, leaving the cold and windy bus station and have a sit in the smooth and comfortable heated car.

Carpooling is the answer for bus-station-dreamers, for lonely travellers and most of all for commuters. It works really easy: it is sufficient to sign in, specify your travel/journey and create your profile (available sits, smoker etc.). There are a lots of websites for each country that connects users. Through the websites account is possible to create crews for the journey and accord time and place for meeting.

Carpooling represents a great alternative to the public service, especially in those areas not really well served with public transport.
